Genafie McKnight is the Founder, CEO, and Lead Clinician of GSM Therapeutic and Consulting Services, LLC. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practicing therapist, she has extensive experience serving adults, children, families, and the elderly. Genafie earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, one of the top ten programs in the nation for her field. In her work, she draws on psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, and humanistic approaches, and she serves each client through a strength and motivation based lens, integrating the client's spirituality into the therapeutic process where welcomed, since research shows these elements help drive positive treatment outcomes. Committed to meaningful and lasting results, Genafie is also an author and speaker who has shared her message at numerous events. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is currently pursuing her doctorate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, deepening the care she brings to GSM and the communities it serves.
